I’m going outdoors, what should I buy?

I get this question all the time. People know I use good stuff and beat the heck out of it. So here’s an ongoing list of my favorite equipment and clothes I use when out in the wild. 

Also, I’ll pay an extra couple bucks and proudly buy American when I can. Not just out of patriotism, but because Americans build with excellent quality. I like to buy from great companies that stand behind their product.
