It’s more likely for someone from rural beginnings, having already lived in nature’s gullet, to adapt well and work in the city than it is for the fast-paced city dweller to get dirty in with nature has to offer.
This site is for you city folk who have that warm ember, ready to ignite the fire of nature’s calling inside us all.

James is the founder of Call of the Yooper and grew up in Manistique Michigan. He is passionate about the outdoors, engaging in all sorts of sports from triathlons, hiking, camping, hunting and fishing. He is the author of the book Wealth Is a Choice, a frequent guest on the news for financial segments, and a public speaker for groups and events.
Although not currently living in the U.P., business, friends, and family make sure that James ends up there often. he loves to share his experiences in hopes that others will further appreciate the outdoors and “reconnect with nature”.
